The sweetest form of pistachios; 'baklava'


Baklava is a favorite dessert for many people around the world, and pistachio is one of the main ingredients of baklava. As I know, there are numerous distinctive recipes and types of baklava, but the most favorite kind of baklava is made with pistachio according to many people, because pistachio's unique colour, scrumptious flavour and aromatic scent are indispensable components for many dessert lovers. My hometown Gaziantep is the most important baklava center in Turkey and may be in the world, because it has hundreds particular pastry shops specialized over many kinds of baklava. I think, the great amount of cultivation pistachios around Gaziantep is a significant factor of this result.

Do you think a "food" can make a person have great pleasure and joy? answer is yes, and baklava is the answer.

as a consequence of cosmopolit structure and history of turkish people, everybody has different taste for food, but baklava is the most common dessert for everybody in Turkey. actually we can call it national dessert for turkey. Perfect mix of quality flour, sweet syrup and world famous pistachios. what does a human being want for more!

In recent 20 years, foreign people also discovered the joy of baklava and local Turkish producers are exporting dry baklava to several countries. So if you want to taste this great dessert, only thing to do is to look for the local markets in your area.
